Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist to join our dedicated team. This individual will be responsible for performing advanced Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce detailed images of tissues and internal organs, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct CT scans on patients, preparing them for the procedure, explaining the process, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Administer contrast materials as needed, position patients correctly, and select appropriate imaging techniques while ensuring technical excellence.
  • Enter and monitor patient data accurately throughout the process.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on CT equipment and assist with maintaining accreditation standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or patient safety concerns promptly to management.
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotations and be flexible to work weekends or at different locations as required.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compassion by adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support ongoing professional development by engaging in necessary training and mentoring less experienced staff.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support is required.
  • Current or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT) is required.
  • Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) or similar qualifications.

Experience: Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist or two years as a Radiological Technologist with CT education.
