Job Summary:

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment safely and accurately to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis. Your responsibilities will include preparing and operating MRI equipment, positioning patients correctly and effectively, recording the requested diagnostic images, and sending results to physician for evaluation and diagnosis. You will work under the strict safety/regulatory/license departmental standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment for imaging tests based on physician's orders and in adherence to department safeguards and protocols to ensure quality results
• Prepare patient and perform MRI procedures
• Maintain records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements
• Perform incidental general office duties to include answering phones, scheduling, filing, maintaining patient records and ordering supplies

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
• Prior Cardiac and Breast MRI experience preferred but not required
• American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification is required
• State of Washington Certification as a Radiological Technologist required unless ARRT(MR) is achieved through the ARRT Primary Pathway
• ARRT MRI Certification is preferred
• Current healthcare provider BLS Certification
