Role Description:
  • Full Time - Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates patient flow within designated areas.
  • Ensures overall supervision and daily scheduling of staff. Responsibilities include daily scheduling, performance evaluation, and documentation of all diagnostic technologists, as well as monthly oversight of staffing and supply budgets.
  • Maintains, documents, and reviews quality control measures on equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Delivers patient care and executes quality procedures efficiently within the assigned modality.
  • Oversees the activities of the technical team during the shift. Provides performance feedback to the Director / Assistant Director.
  • Must exhibit effective communication skills between front desk and relevant departments within Medical Imaging, ER, inpatient units, technologists, and management.
  • Coordinates patient flow for in-patients, outpatients, and emergency cases while demonstrating strong organizational, procedural, and problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to develop a daily scheduling plan that accommodates all patients.
  • Competent in performing all aspects of the assigned modality. Identifies care needs of patients and implements necessary interventions, utilizing equipment to meet the specific needs of diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, young adults, middle-aged adults, and seniors.
  • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of an AMA/RDMS accredited ultrasonography program
  • Certification or Registration with ARDMS, including RVT certification
  • CPR certification as a Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar medical imaging supervisory capacity.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a specialty area as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital setting, demonstrating proficiency in a comprehensive range of skills
  • Proven leadership capabilities, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills in interactions with colleagues, physicians, patients, and other hospital departments.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, communicate verbally, and possess visual acuity.
  • Capability to perform procedures on patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending the English language
