About the Role

Celtic Bank is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Real Estate Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare lending team, you will be responsible for underwriting healthcare facilities, including ALF/MC/SNF/CCRC and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan underwriting with a special focus on healthcare assets.
  • Review and analyze applicant qualifications, financial models, and credit reports.
  • Develop financial models for the evaluation of bridge loan opportunities and review potential healthcare transactions for feasibility and risk.
  • Conduct background checks and KYC reviews on all parties to the transaction.
  • Oversee the financial and operational due diligence process for healthcare financing requests.
  • Calculate and interpret investment returns, including IRR, NPV, ROI, and ROE.
  • Compile and analyze relevant market data and trends.
  • Assist with identifying and gathering all remaining application items needed to complete credit authorization memoranda.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, outside attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Present loan write-ups to the bank's credit committee.
Requirements
  • 1-4 years' related work experience as a Commercial Real Estate Financial Analyst or Commercial Loan Underwriter for healthcare financing requests.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Highly proficient Excel skills.
  • Strong finance, credit, legal, commercial real estate, and/or business background.
  • Established organizational skills and ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects.
  • Experience underwriting healthcare facilities preferred.
  • Extensive computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, advanced financial analytical proficiency, and solid interpersonal skills.
