Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at ECHN. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients and developing individualized treatment plans to improve or restore function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients based on departmental standards and conduct modified evaluations as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve established goals.
- Administer physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques to attain established goals.
- Utilize effective techniques to assist in normalizing speech and language activity.
- Educate patients and families in home exercise programs and functional activities.
- Determine when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommend discharge as appropriate.
- Document patient care in accordance with insurance guidelines and department policies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program in Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a Master's degree.
- Current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows-based programs.
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites.
