Overview

JST is actively seeking a Security Operations Manager to enhance our security framework. This full-time role focuses on providing essential support to the Department of Defense's navigation warfare (NAVWAR) initiatives, ensuring excellence in positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities.


As a pivotal member of the security team, you will deliver expert guidance to combatant commanders and joint force leaders, sharing insights on planning and executing NAVWAR strategies. Your expertise will also extend to understanding both friendly and adversarial NAVWAR capabilities, along with PNT-related challenges and achievements. Additionally, you will serve as the primary Industrial Security authority, assisting the Program Manager in effective contract management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administrative processing of contractor personnel and manage access to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
  • Prepare and submit security accreditation packages for contractor facilities and equipment.
  • Engage in security assessments and evaluations related to contractors.
  • Monitor and track contractor security clearance processes in collaboration with government personnel to ensure timely clearance actions.
  • Provide guidance to contractor staff on document management, including Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) protocols.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Current TS/SCI Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of DoD and military security policies and procedures.
  • Prior experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certification such as Facility Manager Credential or equivalent.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight while effectively collaborating within a team environment.

Clearance Requirements

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to pass a U.S. Government Security Clearance screening.
