Position Summary:

The WCM Group, Inc. is seeking dedicated professionals with over 5 years of substantial experience in industrial wastewater permitting and compliance.

Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in water quality sampling, analytical data assessment, and water quality permitting/compliance/reporting, as well as industrial stormwater permitting/compliance. Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential for building and nurturing relationships with clients and regulatory agencies. Candidates should also demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities related to compliance strategies for our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute reporting for Federal and State wastewater discharge regulatory frameworks, such as NPDES, LPDES, TPDES, etc.
  • Establish and manage water quality initiatives, including construction and industrial stormwater, as well as wet and dry weather assessments.
  • Create and implement compliance management systems for Federal and State discharge permits.
  • Provide clients with the technical expertise necessary to effectively navigate Federal and State environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain robust professional relationships with current clients while fostering new and enduring connections with prospective clients.
  • Develop and implement facility-specific stormwater pollution prevention strategies, including training.
  • Conduct onsite environmental compliance evaluations.
  • Continuously enhance expertise in wastewater permitting and compliance to promote ongoing growth and improvement.

  • Exhibit skills in personal leadership, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to clients, staff, and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrate fundamental math and science competencies (e.g., unit conversions, formula application, data analysis).
  • Show proficiency in MS Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Have an advanced understanding of relevant Federal and State water quality regulations.
  • Ability to navigate regulatory websites and databases effectively.
  • Capability to manage a diverse range of projects across various industries.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or scientific discipline.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the environmental sector.
  • Proven management skills in wastewater permitting and compliance projects and personnel.
  • A high standard of professional ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism necessary for establishing and maintaining long-term working relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (15% - 20%).
