Oral Surgery Assistant Professional

We are a dynamic and fast-paced oral surgery practice seeking an experienced Surgical Assistant to join our team. As an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working closely with surgeons, and ensuring seamless surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during surgery by performing tasks such as tissue retraction, intravenous line management, and documentation.
- Perform preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate patient care, including verifying patient identity and operative site.
- Maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures, utilizing surgical retractors, sponges, and suctioning and irrigating equipment as needed.
- Monitor patient intraoperative status and obtain dental radiographs and imaging as required.
- Complete patient clinical narratives and other related duties assigned by the surgical team.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- At least one year of experience in a related field, preferably in oral surgery or a similar medical environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; completion within one month of hire is acceptable.
- Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certification is highly desirable.
- Licensed dental assistant or radiology certification is also beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to multitask and adapt to changing priorities, maintaining a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic computer knowledge.
- Competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
