**Job Summary**

As a Road Maintenance Worker at the State of California, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to maintain the state's roadways. This includes patching roads, clearing debris, and cleaning ditches and culverts. You will also be responsible for mixing oil and dirt for road patching and resurfacing, operating jackhammers and chain saws, and cutting weeds. Additionally, you will assist in the repair of cattle guards and act as a flag person on road repair crews.
