OBR Cooling Towers, Inc. is in search of a proficient Operations Manager to become a vital part of our team. This role will encompass support across various territories.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Operations Manager will serve as the focal point for assigned projects, collaborating with sales, engineering, drafting, construction, safety, and finance teams to steer projects towards successful outcomes.
- Examine contract documents to ensure that material acquisitions align with contract specifications.
- Analyze sales documentation, including proposals, estimates, and purchase orders, to gain a comprehensive understanding of project scopes and financial plans.
- Develop a comprehensive project timeline that includes design, procurement, logistics, construction, and project closure to meet client deadlines.
- Identify tasks necessary for project completion and delegate responsibilities effectively.
- Create construction packages to convey project requirements to field teams, ensuring timely submission prior to mobilization.
- Conduct turnover meetings with construction, sales, safety, and quality teams to ensure a mutual understanding of project requirements before mobilization.
- Perform cost analysis, including current financial status and forecasts, and inform the finance department of any changes in projections.
- Provide administrative support to field personnel to guarantee that projects are executed on schedule and within budget, addressing urgent material issues and customer impacts promptly.
- Assist in the formulation of project safety documentation and collaborate with clients and internal safety departments to establish safe work protocols.
- Engage in marketing, estimating, bidding, and drawing production for projects as necessary.
- Establish and maintain project timelines.
- Enhance project profitability by acting as the intermediary between sales and field teams regarding project progress and financial performance.
- Facilitate timely pricing, approval, and execution of project change orders.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, local, industry, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Utilize Viewpoint Spectrum (ERP) to monitor and manage project costs, invoicing, and vendor invoice approvals.
- Collaborate with Safety and Finance on project planning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in project management is required.
- Strong organizational skills and mechanical aptitude are essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project; experience with Primavera scheduling is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
- A self-motivated individual with a desire to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
- Experience in industrial plant settings is preferred.
