Job Summary:

As a Residential Assistant at the National Center for Children & Families, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents. This is a dynamic and rewarding position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and supervision to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Assist residents with daily living skills, such as personal care and household chores.
  • Work collaboratively with the case management team to implement individualized plans and achieve resident goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, utilizing de-escalation techniques and other strategies to resolve conflicts.
  • Monitor resident progress and provide regular feedback and coaching to promote growth and development.
  • Conduct regular building inspections and apartment searches to ensure a safe and healthy living environment.
  • Participate in fire evacuation drills and other emergency preparedness activities.
  • Retrieve, distribute, and forward program and resident mail in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor internal and external facility appearance and readiness for new residents.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of relevant residential experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record required.
  • Exceptional teamwork orientation, good written and oral communication skills, and cross-cultural competencies essential.
  • Must possess an attitude compatible with the goals and purposes of NCCF.
