Heavy Equipment Water Transport Operator

Supervisor: Foreman
Position Summary: Operates a robust diesel-powered water truck with a capacity of 4000 gallons, often towing a trailer for transporting heavy machinery.
Licenses and Certifications: A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tank Endorsement is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate vehicle operations by starting engines and manipulating controls.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards, including utility lines and other personnel.
- Load and unload heavy equipment from trailers for transportation.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Engage in collaborative efforts to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
- Exemplify leadership by sharing expertise and guiding team members.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel or work out of town for at least 50% of the time.
- Proficient in English for effective communication.
- Able to comprehend and interpret road signage.
Safety Compliance: Employees must be familiar with and adhere to the company's safety protocols as outlined in the safety manual.
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant construction experience is preferred.
Physical Demands: This role involves heavy physical activity and requires stamina for demanding tasks.
Manual Skills: Adequate manual dexterity to handle equipment and materials effectively.
Work Environment: This position entails outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and wet environments. The noise level is typically high, and reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
