Position Overview


The HR generalist will manage various HR functions and collaborate closely with the Client Care Coordinator and the Administrator to provide support across designated regions.

This role encompasses responsibilities in the following areas:

benefits management, employee relations, training and development, payroll administration, performance evaluation, onboarding, policy enforcement, recruitment, affirmative action, and compliance with employment laws.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administers a variety of human resource plans and procedures for all personnel; assists in formulating and executing personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and policies manual.
  • Participates in setting departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Oversees the compensation program; evaluates the performance appraisal system and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Handles benefits administration, including resolving claims, reporting changes, approving payment invoices, and communicating benefit details to employees.
  • Develops and sustains the affirmative action program; files necessary reports annually; maintains records, reports, and logs to comply with EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment for all levels of personnel, including students and temporary staff; facilitates new employee orientations; monitors career development programs; and creates job advertisements.
  • Provides employee relations counseling, outplacement support, and conducts exit interviews.
  • Attends administrative staff meetings and participates in other meetings and seminars. Maintains organizational charts and the employee directory.
  • Assists in assessing reports, decisions, and outcomes of the department in relation to established objectives. Suggests new strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and generates reports from the database.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Payroll Management:
Assists with payroll processing.

  • Onboarding: Facilitates new employee orientation and onboarding processes.

Supervisory Duties

Physical Requirements


The physical demands outlined here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally or audibly. This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is necessary, which may involve lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and bending or standing on a stool as needed.

Position Type/Expected Work Hours

This is a full-time role. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary based on job responsibilities and collaboration with the Client Care Coordinator.

Travel Requirements

Minimal travel is anticipated for this position.
