Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Data Developer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design, develop, and implement cloud-based solutions to meet the business needs of GEHA and its subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of our Enterprise Data Lake built on Azure, ensuring data integrity and quality control.
  • Provide technical leadership in the application of design and development fundamentals to cloud platforms, promoting best practices.
  • Collaborate with business staff and technical teams to analyze business problems, develop system solutions, and plan training requirements for implementation.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and distribution of datasets that enable analytics and operational dashboards.
  • Design and implement scalable and secure data storage solutions in the cloud, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Services or a related field.
  • 6+ years of IT development experience with advanced experience working on Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse.
  • Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Lake, and Azure SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Software (SSIS, MS Visual Studio, and MS Server Products), MS Office Products, SQL Server products, and scripting languages.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary development teams.

  • Experience with MDM tools and implementation.
  • Python programming skills.
  • Snowflake experience.
