SharePoint Developer Role Overview

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in the development and deployment of innovative features and input forms within SharePoint. This position involves enhancing existing website modules and collaborating closely with project management to ensure that project objectives are met effectively. The SharePoint Developer will also be responsible for integrating third-party solutions to enhance the user experience on the public-facing website.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of comprehensive development experience
  • At least 4 years of expertise in SharePoint 2010/2013/2019, focusing on design, development, implementation, and testing
  • Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS specifically for SharePoint
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, NotePad++, PowerShell scripts, and SharePoint APIs
  • Preferred: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) in Web Applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement custom workflows using SharePoint Designer
  • Create and deploy SharePoint features and custom modules
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting for SharePoint servers
  • Work collaboratively with fellow developers to improve website functionalities
  • Assist in identifying and resolving bugs on the public website

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of responsive web design and usability best practices
  • Strong software/web development skills coupled with effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with web parts, pages, lists, and scripting for SharePoint
  • Capability to organize project tasks and lead planning discussions

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in deploying SharePoint collaboration tools and other Microsoft technologies
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall development methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of WCAG 2.0, SharePoint integrations, and web accessibility standards
  • Proficient in HTML5, CSS, JQuery, and JavaScript
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
