Clinical Specimen Collector Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team. As a Clinical Specimen Collector, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood samples from patients in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.

**Responsibilities:**

* Collect and process blood samples from patients in a clinical setting
* Work independently with minimal supervision to meet productivity and quality standards
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection and processing
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Medical training or certification preferred
* Three years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
* Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
* Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred

**Work Environment:**

* In-office doctor's office
* Must have at least 5 years' experience in Phlebotomy
* Be able to handle high-volume sites and get patients in and out within a 5-10-minute time
