CNC Machinist/Toolmaker

The CNC Machinist/Toolmaker will be responsible for setting up and operating 3-axis CNC equipment, as well as other toolroom equipment as needed. This role will also involve preparing tooling and raw materials for CNC machining, performing machine maintenance, and ensuring quality standards are met.

• Program CNC machines using Mastercam software
• Operate CNC machines to perform complex functions such as boring, milling, drilling, etc.
• Inspect work produced to ensure it meets specifications
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency and minimize downtime
• Maintain records of production runs, including time, materials used, and product specifications
• Assist other departments with their operations when necessary

• Knowledge of GD&T principles
• Ability to read and interpret drawings
• Experience in machining processes and techniques
• Proficiency in using measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or Inventor
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Basic understanding of shop safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Available to work overtime as needed

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum of 2 years experience in machining and working with CNC machines, required
