Job Summary

Foxcareers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Photojournalist to join our team. As a key member of our visual content creation team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of photojournalists and editors, while also contributing to the development of high-quality visual content for our news broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Routinely review and coach photojournalists/editors on techniques and style
• Hold coaching and best practices sessions for both the technical and creative aspects of photojournalism
• Work with the Chief in establishing and enforcing standards of photojournalism and editing
• Assist in improving our systems to measure progress and ensure accountability
• Work with Manager of Photojournalism, News Operations Manager and Asst. ND for live in-the-field productions
• Be highly skilled with: Edius editing, After Effects, Bit Central, Panasonic P2 cameras
• Be able to operate Live U packs and maintain Live U servers
• Shoot, capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
• Train as a drone operator and visual observer
• Other duties as assigned by VP/News

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a major market news photojournalist
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Professionalism, positivity and good newsroom citizenship
• Valid Minnesota driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
