  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate information security risks that could impact the university's operations, reputation, and financial stability.
  • Incident Response: Develop and implement incident response plans to ensure that the university is prepared to respond to and manage information security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
  • Compliance: Ensure that the university's information security program is compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Communication: Communicate information security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to the university's leadership, faculty, and staff, and provide guidance on how to mitigate these risks.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of information security professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of experience in information security, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CIAM Certification: Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM) certification.
  • CISSP Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
  • CRISC Certification: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) certification.
  • CEH Certification: Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification.
  • SANS Certifications: SANS certifications (GCED, GISP, GCWN).
  • Higher Education Experience: Previous experience working in higher education.
