Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Oversight: Manage and oversee all MEP trades on commercial construction projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  2. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
  3. Schedule Development and Management: Develop and maintain project schedules for MEP work, ensuring timely completion and adherence to project requirements.
  4. Safety Protocols: Monitor and enforce safety protocols and standards on job sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  5. Design Review and Approval: Review and approve MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  6. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  7. Issue Resolution: Resolve any MEP-related issues that arise during construction, working closely with project teams and stakeholders to find effective solutions.
  8. Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractors and vendors, ensuring they meet project expectations and deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation of all MEP activities and progress reports.
  9. Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Requirements

Education and Experience:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of [X] years of experience as a MEP Superintendent in commercial construction, with a proven track record of successfully managing MEP systems on large-scale commercial projects.
  3. Skills and Qualifications: Strong understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection, excellent project management and organizational skills, ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in construction management software and tools.
