Job Summary

The Stevenson University is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented student assistant to support the marching band. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with instrumental and/or choral music, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment during class time and performances
  • Perform clerical duties for the Director of Bands, including answering phone calls, filing, copying, and retrieving on-campus mail
  • Assist the Administrative Assistant with day-to-day operations of the Office
  • Help set up for special events and move equipment as directed
  • Perform general office tasks related to data entry, filing, and organizing the office
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing
  • Prior experience with instrumental and/or choral music is desired
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and MAC OS is a plus
  • Good telephone etiquette skills and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
Working Conditions

The student assistant will work in a fast-paced office environment and be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Keyboarding, standing, and sitting will be required for extended periods. Close visual acuity will be necessary to perform tasks such as viewing a computer terminal.
