About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Mount Sinai West. In this role, you'll be responsible for performing or assisting in ultrasound examinations, providing technical assistance to radiologists, and maintaining and caring for all ultrasound equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and examines patients for ultrasound examinations, verifying their identity and obtaining health status and medical history.
  • Operates and adjusts ultrasound equipment, taking safety precautions to protect patients and personnel from electric shock or other hazards.
  • Communicates with patients, their representatives, and staff, explaining exam procedures and answering questions.
  • Analyzes sonographic findings to obtain comprehensive exams sufficient for physicians to direct patient management and render a diagnosis.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate and Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • 0-2 years of experience as Ultrasound Technologist.
  • Name: Certified Sonographer Issuing Agency: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Compensation Statement

Mate salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range for the role is $52.6762 - $57.4777 Hourly.
