Position Overview
The Modeling & Simulation Enterprise Applications (MSEA) product suite is dedicated to supporting modeling and simulation (M&S) environments, trainer systems, test and evaluation (T&E), analysis, and research and development (R&D) activities for defense agencies and international partners. All products are government-owned, developed, and managed. The Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) serves as a continuously evolving synthetic environment generator that aids in training, testing, analysis, and R&D across multiple platforms and services.
Key Responsibilities
As a leader of the NGTS Testing team within the MSEA branch, you will be responsible for testing software for an advanced synthetic training environment integrated into flight simulators. Your role will encompass:
- Executing regression tests on new NGTS test builds on a weekly basis.
- Addressing a variety of Jira issues, from new feature implementations to bug fixes and database queries.
- Documenting test results and issues discovered in Jira.
- Collaborating with NGTS software developers and subject matter experts during training sessions.
- Creating new test procedure documents to validate new requirements.
- Engaging with a large team to ensure correct procedures and software issue diagnosis.
- Conducting extensive regression tests when software reaches the Release Candidate (RC) phase.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in testing and developing software products, with a focus on leading teams.
- At least 4 years of experience leading a software testing team utilizing Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- 4 years of experience in testing and developing software products.
- Proficiency in scripting, database, and programming languages such as C++.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance.
- Ability to obtain DoD Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
- Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages including Python 3 and HTML.
- Prior involvement in supporting modeling and simulation efforts.
- Experience in automated testing.
