Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Town of Pecos City. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for the care and custody of offenders, ensuring their safety and security while in our custody.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor offenders in their daily activities, ensuring their compliance with rules and regulations.
  • Search for contraband and provide security measures to prevent escapes and maintain discipline.
  • Provide custody and security of offenders, including transporting and transferring them as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies, including providing first aid and using force and deadly force when necessary.
  • Read and review offender records, applying relevant information to ensure the security of the facility.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Must possess a clean, current Texas driver's license.
