Job Overview

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist is responsible for conducting routine preventative maintenance on machinery utilized in the production process, which includes cleaning, lubricating, and servicing equipment.
Key responsibilities involve ensuring machinery operates efficiently and remains in optimal condition.
Maintenance tasks will cover a variety of industrial machines including CNC equipment, welding machines, and cutting tools.

This is a Direct Hire opportunity.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, with potential overtime.
Compensation: $21 - $25 per hour, based on experience.
Location: Fort Myers, FL

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing and repairing machinery malfunctions.
  • Executing preventative maintenance tasks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensuring safety protocols are followed, including lockout/tagout procedures, while keeping the workspace organized.
  • Managing inventory of parts in a cost-effective manner.
  • Exhibiting self-motivation and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical issues related to pneumatics, hydraulics, CNC, and electrical systems.


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in maintenance is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting diverse machinery issues.
  • Familiarity with mechanical maintenance practices.
  • Ability to diagnose and rectify manufacturing equipment problems.
  • Electrical knowledge is advantageous, as the role involves working with electrical panels and live equipment.
  • Proficiency in using power tools such as pneumatic tools, drills, lathes, mills, saws, and welders.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet using aerial lifts and ladders.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Possess a strong work ethic focused on achieving goals.
