We are looking for a skilled Industrial Mechanical and Electrical Technician to contribute to our operations. The role involves the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and machinery, including LLDPE blown film extruders and bag-making equipment. Candidates proficient in English or Spanish are encouraged to apply. This position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime for urgent repairs in a 24/7 operational facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and modify electrical machinery and equipment used in blown film production and converting processes.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical or mechanical malfunctions effectively.
  • Adjust machine timing as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair or replace components such as chains, sprockets, gears, program drives, AC/DC motors, servos, steppers, solid-state devices, and mechanical relays.
  • Possess basic skills in lathe operation and welding.
  • Collaborate with engineers or vendors to address and solve developmental challenges.
  • Work with pneumatic and hydraulic devices.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance, including greasing and cleaning of machinery components as required.
  • Ensure compliance of all electrical and mechanical components with established standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics is essential.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.
