Orthopedic Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Orthopedic Therapist to join our team at The Porretta Center for Orthopaedic Surgery in Novi. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our physicians and staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and establish goals, treatments, and care plans in conjunction with the physician, patient/family.
• Ensure that appropriate treatment is performed in an interdisciplinary fashion, consulting with physicians about the impact of physical therapy factors on the patient's health status.
• Document findings, treatments, and other patient information for the medical record.
• Educate patient/family on appropriate care and use of various therapies/exercises.
• Serve as information/education resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Technicians.
• Serve as a resource to Physical Therapy staff.
• Provide ongoing education to the Physical Therapy staff.
• Assist the director with patient care issues.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for the job position.
