Radiology Technologist Job Description

At Northern Light Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position that requires flexibility and adaptability. You will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, verifying orders, and ensuring quality assurance of imaging equipment. Your primary goal will be to provide excellent patient care and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure successful patient outcomes.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all healthcare team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Verify patient identification and obtain informed consent when necessary.
  • Adapt procedures for atypical patients and stay up-to-date with equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Follow safe radiation practices and minimize patient and personnel exposure.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or eligible for licensure in Maine.
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
