Overview

Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiology Special Procedures team. As a RN HOPS, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our dedicated team of caregivers to deliver world-class healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services in various healthcare settings.
  • Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
  • Perform telephone triage and call rotations.
  • Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.
  • Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs, and facilitate discharge planning.
  • Evaluate, initiate, and maintain standards of care.
  • Educate patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles in the department.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One year of recent experience as an RN.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of recent experience as an RN.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
  • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
  • Requires some exposure to communicable disease or bodily fluids.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
