Job Summary

The Salon Director in Training is a key role within Sun Tan City - STC Management Group, LLC, responsible for driving store performance, fostering superior client service, and maintaining operational excellence. This individual will manage and supervise Tanning Consultants to achieve company goals and lead by example in all company operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management: Monitor and manage daily operations of the salon in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a professional and impeccably clean salon environment.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Establish clear goals and objectives for Team Members, provide coaching, training, and feedback to improve Team Members' daily performance, and generate sales reports, maintain inventory, and assist with other Salon Director functions.
  • Customer Service: Lead by example in creating a client-centric experience, meeting personal sales expectations, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Help maintain proper staffing levels to ensure maximum productivity and excellent customer service while controlling labor costs.
  • Performance Management: Assist the Salon Director in controlling top-line revenue and expenses, and hold Team Members accountable for delivering an exceptional client experience.
Requirements
  • Management and Sales Experience: Proven experience in management and sales, with a strong background in the beauty industry and/or customer service.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor Team Members, and build a high-performing team.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Team Members, clients, and management.
  • Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously, and prioritize and delegate tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment, lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes, and perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
