At Banner Health, our pharmacy professionals are essential in delivering outstanding patient care. Our team is dedicated to innovation and excellence, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of service.
As an Evening Acute Pharmacy Technician, you will engage in various operational tasks, including medication distribution, Pyxis system management, and sterile compounding. You will collaborate closely with pharmacists to fulfill daily responsibilities that support patient care.
Your schedule will consist of evening shifts, specifically five 8-hour shifts from 2 PM to 10:30 PM during weekdays, along with a requirement to work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotations.
In addition to your base salary, you will benefit from an 18% night shift differential and an additional $1 per hour for weekend shifts.
Banner Baywood Medical Center is a 342-bed facility committed to serving the diverse healthcare needs of the East Valley communities. We offer comprehensive acute care and outpatient services, including specialties such as oncology, neurology, women's health, rehabilitation, emergency medicine, and surgical services. Our hospital is recognized for its pediatric preparedness and designated as a Level 3 trauma center. Furthermore, our orthopedic unit is among the nation's leading programs, having received a 4 STAR rating from CMS and accolades as one of the Top 100 Orthopedic Programs in the U.S.
POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will operate under the guidance of a pharmacist, executing routine tasks related to the packaging, distribution, non-sterile compounding, and documentation of pharmaceutical supplies. You will effectively utilize pharmacy computer systems to address and resolve medication inquiries. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to mentor and train fellow Pharmacy Technicians, externs, trainees, and volunteers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify, you must possess a Pharmacy Technician license and an active Pharmacy Technician certification or Pharmacy Intern license in the state of practice. Candidates in Arizona are required to present the AZ Board of Pharmacy Wallet Card upon hire.
Employees at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must hold an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it throughout their employment. Those working at Banner MD Anderson or BUMC-P Whole Health Counseling must possess a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card upon hire and retain it for the duration of their employment.
Team members from the BSS Registry and Travelers are not eligible to drive on behalf of Banner and are not required to possess a valid driver's license or be eligible for coverage under the company's auto insurance policy.
