Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Training Program Manager

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Training Program Manager to join our team at Seaboard Foods. As a key member of our facilities/maintenance/engineering department, you will be responsible for the orientation of new employees to the maintenance department, ensuring all required certification training is completed, and standard operating procedures are acknowledged.

About the Role:

  • Directly trains and coordinates the activities of industrial maintenance technicians, adhering to all Company SOPs and policies.
  • Leads classroom-style training to new mechanics, constructing training boards related to pneumatics, electrical, hydraulics, and mechanical.
  • Assesses maintenance technicians' skill level in all areas and follows up to ensure skills learned in new hire orientation or Company training are being utilized properly.
  • Collaborates with maintenance management to schedule training sessions to achieve level advancement.
  • Adheres to all workplace and food safety policies and procedures outlined by the company and required by federal, state, and local laws.
  • Evaluates trainee progress and maintains records of trainee's progress and achievements.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of management within the organization.
  • Communicates effectively with all employees and provides direction, instructions, and feedback based on the employee's experience level.
  • Ability to understand recruiting strategies for maintenance technicians and conducts interviews to recommend for hiring.
  • Develops content, as necessary, for any supplemental training for the department.
  • Follows up and provides appropriate feedback and recognition based on level of performance.

Requirements:

  • Deep electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Strong hydraulics knowledge.
  • Strong pneumatics knowledge.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • 5 – 10 years of hands-on experience in the food service industry.
  • Experience working in an industrial manufacturing setting, preferably in a maintenance or engineering position.
  • Food manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • English required, bilingual a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily A shift, but required by the business.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility and primarily will be on the production floor.
  • The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position is primarily on the production floor and will have limited office time.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment requires you to wear hearing protection at all times on the production floor.
  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
