Position Overview:
The Commercial Vehicle Operator is tasked with transporting materials to customer job sites. This role requires effective interaction with both colleagues and clients.

Knowledge of construction materials, loading and unloading protocols, maintenance of company vehicles (trucks/moffett), completion of preventative maintenance logs, and strict adherence to safety regulations are essential.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in designated areas and assisting customers with loading. A friendly demeanor while driving and exemplary customer service skills are mandatory. A clean driving record is essential.

Qualifications

Education:
Basic education, including the ability to read and write proficiently.

Training and Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience operating a vehicle as specified by the license. Compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations is required. Experience with construction materials is preferred.

Job Knowledge:
Proficiency in driving and familiarity with construction materials is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:
The role demands significant physical effort, involving minimal sitting, standing, walking, and regular heavy lifting. The work environment is typically non-air-conditioned.

License or Certification:
A valid Commercial (CDL) driver's license is required. Candidates must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screening (DOT where applicable per FMCSA), maintain a clean MVR, and be insurable for driving.
