About the Role

As an Orthopedic Care Professional at Williamson Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. Job Summary

The Registered Nurse for Orthopedic care at Williamson Health provides nursing care to patients in a hospital setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional service and support for the diverse community.


Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs, plan and implement care, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional service and support for the diverse community.
  • Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.
  • Plans for patient teaching, discharge and post discharge needs as appropriate for patient population.
  • Functions independently with treatments, procedures and equipment appropriate to areas evidence by adherence to policy, procedure and competency based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
  • Handles/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • For 3rd floor telemetry unit:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
  • For float pool and float pool extended:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • For critical care:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
    • AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire.
  • For Oncology:
    • ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire.
  • For Adult Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of emergency experience preferred.
    • TNCC Preferred.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical:
    • At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire.
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire.
    • ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire.

Compensation and Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards, job requirements, and location.
