USAM DC, LLC is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating millwork machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, and table saws.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a variety of millwork machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, and table saws.
- Compute basic mathematics principles, including addition, subtraction, and fractions.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and architectural drawings.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines.
- Adhere to safety practices and ensure proper use of all tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand, move with ease, and lift 75 pounds repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
- Inspect equipment prior to use and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates degree or completion of a technical degree highly preferred.
- At least one year of millwork manufacturing experience.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Thorough understanding of production equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic math skills, including fractions.
- Understanding of and ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
