We are currently looking for a full-time Recreational Therapy Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The Recreational Therapy Specialist will work under the guidance of licensed mental health professionals, utilizing recreational, social, and vocational activities to achieve therapeutic goals. This role focuses on skill development and problem-solving to support the psychological well-being of individuals in a correctional environment.

  • Monday to Friday, Day Shift
Qualifications

Essential Duties

The Recreational Therapy Specialist will be responsible for implementing activities that promote psychological stabilization and skill enhancement for patients. This position requires:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field, specifically working with individuals with serious mental health conditions.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Preferred background in roles such as medical technician, EMT, or activities technician.
  • Experience in a correctional mental health setting is advantageous.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearance.
