Patient Engagement
Welcomes patients by providing assistance with products and services. Addresses patient concerns promptly and answers inquiries to foster a positive experience.
Demonstrates and shares best practices in patient service with all team members to create a distinctive and enjoyable experience, incorporating interpersonal skills that convey care (e.g., greetings, eye contact, courtesy) and Walgreens service principles (e.g., showing curiosity to identify needs, proactively assisting, ensuring satisfaction, promoting empathy and inclusivity).
Enhances patient experience by raising awareness of healthcare services available through Walgreens (e.g., patient consultations, medication management, drug therapy evaluations, and clinical or wellness services such as immunizations and diagnostic testing), thereby transforming the Walgreens pharmacy role from transactional to relational.
Operational Duties
Provides clinical services to patients, including immunizations and MTM interventions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Ensures adherence to all aspects of the Good Faith Dispensing policy in accordance with state and federal controlled substance regulations when processing prescriptions.
Professional Development
Maintains up-to-date knowledge and required licensure/credentialing/certification as mandated by federal and state regulations to deliver clinical services.
Stays informed about advancements in pharmacy and healthcare by reviewing pharmacy-related journals, company publications, and communications. Remains aware of trends in retail and management and seeks best practices to enhance performance.
Completes necessary certifications, educational credits, and training, including learning modules, as required by the organization.
