Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic scans and safely operate MRI equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of MRI imaging equipment and technology.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and communication, ensuring a positive experience for all patients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in MRI technology.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in MRI preferred.
  • NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR) required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) required.
  • IV Credentialed required.
  • Applicable state license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment.
  • Analytical ability and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Good communication skills.
