Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist 2 to join our team at the New York State Psychiatric Institute and Columbia University Department of Psychiatry. The selected candidate will serve as part of a multidisciplinary specialized early psychosis team providing coordinated and assertive treatment to enrolled participants in the OnTrackNY Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical oversight and direct psychiatric care to adolescents and young adults experiencing early psychosis
  • Supervise psychiatry residents as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with community-based mental health services to provide coordinated treatment
  • Preferred qualifications include experience working with adolescents and young adults, Spanish fluency, and training in community-based mental health services
Requirements
  • License and current registration to practice medicine in New York State
  • Certification in general psychiatry by the ABPN
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
