Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Walgreens. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting our pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription dispensing, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including the preparation and dispensing of medications, and the maintenance of accurate records.
- Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, and process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
