We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Extension Agent to join our team at North Carolina State University. As an Extension Agent, you will play a critical role in extending research-based knowledge to all North Carolinians, helping them transform science into everyday solutions that improve their lives and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective outreach and education programs to promote agricultural best practices and community development initiatives.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders, including farmers, community leaders, and other Extension Agents, to identify and address community needs.
- Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and educational materials to promote sustainable agriculture and community development.
- Conduct research and gather data to inform program development and evaluation.
- Build and maintain relationships with local partners, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private industry.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as agriculture, community development, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Extension work, community development, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
