Responsibilities- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, including taking vital signs and updating medical records.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures, such as EKGs and phlebotomy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and test results.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from a recognized accrediting agency.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant II Certified in a healthcare setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
