Job Title: Deburr Technician

GE Aerospace is seeking a skilled Deburr Technician to join our team in Asheville, NC. As a Deburr Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and precision of our aviation engine hardware.

Job Summary:

The Deburr Technician will be responsible for manually removing burrs created after the machining process on complex aviation engine hardware. This requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work with precision instruments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remove burrs from complex aviation engine hardware using hand tools and precision instruments
  • Generate break edges, round edges, and chamfer on different types of exotic metals
  • Utilize hand tools such as pencil grinders, 90-degree grinders, and straight grinders
  • Operate a drill press and perform delicate operations to polish surfaces
  • Inspect generated features for conformance and maintain quality standards
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience working from detailed instructions and planning
  • One year of experience reading simple blueprints and performing simple arithmetic
  • One year of experience using precision measuring instruments
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and integrity of work performed
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1-year machining certificate or 2 years of machining experience
  • Flexibility to work all shifts on a temporary basis
  • Ability and willingness to balance multiple priorities
