Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician to join our team at Gerber Collision & Glass. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences through meticulous vehicle repair and restoration.

Job Description

As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional and successful customer experience through the assessment and quality repair of each customer's vehicle. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring consistent execution of our quality standards
  • Preparing cost estimates for customers
  • Using various tools to repair sections of a vehicle, including cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic jacks
  • Hammering out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage
  • Realigning car chassis and frames to repair structural damage
  • Removing and replacing damaged sections of vehicles with new or aftermarket parts
  • Replacing or repairing glass and windshields as needed
  • Replacing or repairing interior parts as needed
  • Welding and attaching parts into place
  • Preparing and repainting vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent
  • Inspecting vehicles after repair to ensure all work has been executed correctly
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer
