- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver courses in Automotive Refinishing with general oversight
- Maintain regular office hours for each course instructed
- Develop course outlines and provide reports on teaching effectiveness and student performance
- Collaborate with fellow educators in the automotive discipline
- Gather student and peer feedback to evaluate teaching effectiveness
- Complete various instructional tasks as assigned
- Uphold the principles and philosophy of community colleges
- Engage positively with a diverse student body and community
- Essential Qualifications:
- Degree in Automotive Refinishing or a related field
- Associate degree in Automotive Body Repair and Painting (ABRP) with 5 years of professional experience or 15 college credits with 7 years of relevant work experience
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience at a community college
- Ability to connect with diverse student groups
- Relevant industry experience in automotive refinishing or collision repair
- Experience as a business owner or manager in the automotive sector
- Familiarity with competency-based teaching methods
- Skills in incorporating critical thinking into course materials
