Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our congregation. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the CFO will be responsible for developing and managing our budget, overseeing financial planning and reporting, and providing strategic guidance on financial matters. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced financial leader to join our team and help shape the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage our annual budget, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and objectives
• Oversee financial planning and reporting, including preparation of financial statements and analysis of financial data
• Provide strategic guidance on financial matters, including investment decisions and risk management
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial policies and procedures
• Supervise and mentor staff members in the finance department
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations for financial improvements
• Work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to ensure financial sustainability and growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, bankers, and other stakeholders
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and implement changes as necessary

Qualifications and Skills
• 12+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in a non-profit or religious organization
• Proven track record of success in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex financial data and develop recommendations for improvement
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with senior leadership, staff, and external stakeholders
• Strong leadership and management skills, with ability to supervise and mentor staff members
• Experience with financial software, including accounting systems and budgeting tools
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and auditing requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with high level of integrity and professionalism
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, advanced degree preferred

Benefits and Compensation
The target compensation range for this position is $180,000 to $210,000, based on background and experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
