About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Leader to join our team as a Gas Station Manager at Cumberland Farms. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Gas Guest Service Associates to deliver exceptional customer service, drive sales growth, and maintain a clean and welcoming store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate leadership attributes to include building and maintaining trust with the store team, setting clear and measurable goals, holding self and others accountable, and communicating frequently and effectively.
  • Team Development: Build and develop a strong store team by hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, offering feedback on performance, and leading by example.
  • Operational Excellence: Achieve operational excellence by utilizing Cumberland Farms' operational objectives and hitting financial objectives (sales/expenses to budget, net profit).
  • Store Appearance: Manage the overall appearance of the station (inside and out) ensuring that the location is clean and welcoming to our guests, delegating and directing team to maintain condition levels up to Cumberland Farms' standard.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Gas Guest Service Associates, District Manager, Region Manager, VP, Company personnel, and various vendors to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High School or GED
  • Experience: 1 year Gas station experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Preferred Experience: 1-2 years leadership experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: None specified
  • Soft Skills: Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members, high energy, ability to move from one activity to another quickly, team oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others
Working Conditions
  • Scheduling: Full-time position, primarily works days, however, may at times need to work a variety of hours depending on business needs (days, nights, weekends & Holidays)
  • Travel: 5% to attend meetings
  • Hours & Conditions: 50 regular hours/ 10 hour work day
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand/walk 10 hours a day; ability to lift 40 lbs., reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp and grip and work in varying outside temperatures
