Quality Production Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Production Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our finished products and ensuring compliance with Industrialized Building Codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer the Industrialized Buildings Program to ensure compliance with various state requirements.
  • Manage and maintain quality documents related to the final release of products.
  • Act as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Project Management, and Test in the resolution of release criteria.
  • Ensure documentation requirements are met according to Operating Procedures, Project Gates, and ISO standards.
  • Review detailed drawings for shelters, cabinets, or racks, including plan views, elevations, electrical power/signal/communication wiring diagrams, utility piping and tubing schematics, sample conditioning system flow schematics, detailed sample probe drawings, alarm system (relay or PLC) detailed wiring diagrams, and fabrication drawings.
  • Initiate training for production employees on quality-related topics.
  • Provide technical support for issues related to Analytic products, solutions, and production.
  • Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities related to product, processes, and quality system.
  • Track and prepare monthly reports for internal quality performance metrics.
  • Participate in formulating quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, and practices.
  • Perform and guide others in deploying and improving quality discipline and culture.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement in quality performance through the utilization of tools such as Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D Methodology, and Lean Manufacturing. Maintain and analyze Key Performance Indicators and Cost of Quality data to identify recurring trends and drive improvement actions to reduce internal and external failure costs.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience in a quality-related position in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years' experience working with a manufacturer of analytical equipment or analyzer system integrator.
  • AS Degree in Engineering Design or Technology or BS Degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to interpret technical part drawings and specifications.
  • Previous work experience in an ISO 9001 certified company.
  • Ability to interpret electrical controls and distribution wiring schematics.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous quality improvement in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical wiring standards, methods, and testing.
  • Working knowledge of analytical systems integration, including analyzer shelters and sample conditioning systems. Working knowledge of codes/standards: NEC, IEC, API, NFPA.
  • Understanding of hazardous area classifications.
