Position Summary

The Facilities Technician will utilize maintenance expertise and customer service abilities to uphold the property's standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing various systems within the property, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances. This role may involve independent work or collaboration with the maintenance team, while also adhering to Fair Housing laws and Equal Employment Opportunity practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address daily work orders from residents, prioritizing service requests for timely completion.
  • Prepare vacant units for incoming residents, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee the upkeep of the property’s exterior and execute seasonal preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the property to identify and rectify any issues.
  • Prepare units for inspections as required.
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed.
  • Be available for emergency service calls on a rotating basis with fellow staff members.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills for effective tenant interactions.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, ensuring efficient task execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for maintenance-related challenges.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
  • Physical capability to handle heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Understanding of company policies and procedures, including inventory management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and service requests effectively.
  • Confidence in work performance, with the ability to motivate others and represent the property positively.

Work Schedule:

· Full-time, 5 days a week, 8 AM - 5 PM

· Rotating on-call duties
