Internship in Validation Engineering

Objective:

As a Co-Op or Intern at Pilkington North America within our Validation Division, you will gain invaluable experience by applying your academic knowledge to practical projects, challenges, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support automotive validation assessments (DV, PV, etc.)
  • Prepare, condition, and evaluate laboratory samples
  • Compile data and produce laboratory reports
  • Engage in extensive experiments (DOEs, etc.) within Research & Development and validation
  • Assist in diagnosing and analyzing failures of test samples, as needed
  • Interpret and comprehend test specifications, ensuring validation testing is conducted accurately
  • Create validation test reports for review by the validation team, which will ultimately be submitted to clients
  • Comply with NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct along with its Values and Principles
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline
  • Proven hands-on technical abilities
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Willingness to undertake multiple co-op terms
  • Availability to work part-time during non-co-op terms
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Practical experience with machinery and equipment
